Joseph Sarmiento

As OppNet's Data Engineer, Joseph enhances data-driven practices through designing and maintaining data infrastructures and platforms. He collaborates with stakeholders to conceptualize and implement scalable solutions and effective implementation. Joseph ensures the reliability, security, and recoverability of OppNet's data. Along with a Bachelor's in Psychology from New Jersey City University, he also brings extensive experience in non-profit data management and engineering. Joseph has dedicated his career to advocating for anti-oppressive and inclusive access to resources for systematically marginalized communities. Outside of work, he enjoys drawing, singing, and playing video games.
