[email protected]As an Associate on the College Success team, Prisma supports Fellows through program facilitation, conducting check-ins with Fellows to make sure they're being holistically supported, as well as supporting OppNet's Winter Conference and Summer Series programming. An OppNet alum, in 2018 Prisma graduated from Scripps College, a historically women’s college, where she was a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow as well as an Institute of the Recruitment of Teachers Fellow. She also studied abroad in Mexico and Bolivia while at Scripps.
Prior to joining OppNet in a full-time capacity, Prisma has worked in the education justice space as a college counselor, facilitator, resident advisor, and youth organizer at organizations in New York and California. In addition to her role at OppNet, Prisma is currently in grad school where her research focuses on the Poblano diaspora, food, memory, and intergenerational healing. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she just moved to Baltimore and is excited to explore more and hopefully get her driver's license while in Maryland. Some of her interests include listening to podcasts and learning about herbs and ancestral foods.
