Jamillah Burgin

As Director of Operations, Jamillah leads OppNet's Operations Team to ensure the organization's operational effectiveness. With the support of her team, she creates systems and institutional processes to help the entire organization work most efficiently. Jamillah also focuses on developing ways to make sure the entire OppNet community can feel a sense of belonging when in OppNet's offices and that the organization's human resources and talent functions are maximized. Before joining OppNet, she co-founded and worked at a full service event management and production company, which served clients whose work expressed a commitment to social justice. Prior to that she worked as a project management consultant to the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and her work supported major reform initiatives in the health, education and rural development sectors. Jamillah received her BA in Sociology from Manhattanville College and MS in Project Management from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom.
