Ed Bonahue

After working with OppNet as the Data, Activated! program lead in 2022, Ed Bonahue joined the OppNet team in a full-time capacity as Manager of College Success. Ed’s professional background is in nonprofit education programming and social science research. Originally moving to New York for an AmeriCorps teaching fellowship, he has worked with organizations like the Center for Inclusive Democracy, the We the People Initiative, and Mercy Corps at the intersection of youth development and civic engagement. Most recently, he served as the Surveys Team Lead with Communities Speak, a public policy research project at Columbia University. Ed holds a BA in Political Science and Theatre from Florida State University and an MPA in Urban and Social Policy and Management from Columbia University. A fervent advocate for educational equity, Ed is thrilled to join OppNet and to use data analysis and program management to help Fellows reach their goals in college and beyond. In his free time, Ed loves reading, playing music, hiking, and pushing the boundaries of acceptable stir-fry ingredients.
