Joanna Barnett

As Assistant Director of Curriculum and Facilitation, Joanna supports the development and expansion of The Opportunity Network’s College Success Program curriculum and virtual programming. Before OppNet, Joanna worked as the Assistant Director of Algebra Nation, an education technology program partnering with the “Algebra for All” initiative in New York City Public Schools. As a former teacher, she was eager to help develop engaging instructional resources to support teachers in building student-centered classrooms. Prior to joining Algebra Nation, Joanna taught high school math and science as a Teach for America Corps Member in Waianae, HI. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Vassar College and a M.S. in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University.
