Luz Romero

As Manager, College Guidance & Transition, Luz counsels Fellows through the college application and matriculation process. In her role, Luz curates curriculum and program coordination for the entire guidance and transition process for OppNet Fellows (11th grade through first years). Luz previously served as the Residential Teaching Assistant Supervisor for the Freedom and Citizenship Program at Columbia University and as Youth Development and College Advisor at the Double Discovery Center, where she managed and facilitated college prep programming. Luz is an OppNet alumna and, before returning, served as a mentor and volunteer in college guidance and college success programming. Luz received her B.A. in English from Barnard College.
