Edsel Batucan

As Associate Director of College Guidance and Transition, Edsel guides the College Guidance & Transition Team in its support of Fellows through the college application and college transition process. Prior to joining The Opportunity Network, Edsel worked as a College Advisor at the Bronx Lab School on behalf of the College Advising Corps at NYU. In his role, he helped raise the college application and enrollment rate of his seniors, as well as promote a stronger college-going culture. Edsel also worked in career services within higher education at the Stony Brook University Career Center as a Career Counseling Intern and at NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development as a Recruitment Assistant for the On-Campus Recruitment Team. He holds a M.A. in Applied Psychology: School Counseling K-12 from the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development and a B.A. in Sociology from Stony Brook University.
