Why she joined the ALC: I joined the ALC because I wanted to assist Alumni and give them a landing pad so that they can recover and learn something new when they visit. I want our Alumni to continue to build connections with each other, with new Fellows, and new OppNet staff. OppNet has been there for us throughout our high school and college careers, and they continue to be there for us after the fact. I want to get the word out to other Alumni that OppNet is still here, and they are still listening.
How she's managing to navigate this virtual reality: Working in this virtual reality we live in was a bit of a challenge at first, but I had a great support system that helped me adapt. Going to school and going to work online really helped me learn how to adapt quickly to the virtual work/life balance. I was the biggest advocate of going back to work in-person originally, but I changed my tune once I got the hang of online school and work. It has allowed me many different flexible opportunities and freed me up to be able to do various activities. I feel like Im living more now and doing more than I ever was before.
